Default Leaking shocks - need replacement

Hi All,

I recently had my car at the dealership for the air bag recall and they informed me that all 4 shocks are leaking and need to be replaced. I don't want to lower the car and never plan on lowering it. Should I spend the money and replace with OEM or will KYB be fine. This is my daily driver.

Thanks in advance.

Did you EVER replace them or were they lying to you? They already get paid for the "recall" stuff. Most likely trying to screw you out of more money.
Did you actually check to see the leakage or just believe them? (I've seen 'stealerships' squirt oil up near the shaft to get customers worried/hooked)

BUT... if it looks like it's been leaking for months and has built up 'wetness' that dirt clings to, looking all gloppy, well then yes. most likely bad shock.

One of mine in the rear is leaking, but you'd never know it by the ride..
