3G/2G IS250/350 Front Brake Caliper Compatibility
Hello,
I own a 2014 Lexus IS250 RWD F Sport and I'm looking for an OEM brake upgrade for my front calipers. Does anyone know if the 2nd generation IS350 front calipers will bolt up to my 3rd generation IS250? Obviously I would need to replace the rotors along with the calipers, pads, and brake dust shields, but will the larger IS350 front calipers bolt on without an adapter? I've read a few threads about caliper compatibility between IS250 and IS350 (RWD/AWD), but I wasn't sure if I needed to source 3rd gen IS350 calipers or if the 2nd gen IS350 calipers were the same. Thank you in advance for your input.
Picture for attention.
Thank you,
AF

The calipers are the same...just make sure you get the RWD front rotor and not the AWD one.
3rd Gen GS350 (2007-up) also have the same front calipers.
Looking at doing the upgrade myself one day...calipers are on the pricey side even used...plus you'd probably want to rebuild them and powder coat/paint them.

Yeah. I was just looking at part numbers for aftermarket replacement calipers and they have the same part numbers for 2G and 3G IS350 RWD. I appreciate the prompt response.
I've also looked into the 2G IS-F front caliper upgrade, but it sounds like you need the IS-F front hubs for this upgrade to work properly. Some members say they installed IS-F calipers on stock IS hubs, but the small difference in clearance will cause premature pad wear. I've also read about ABS sensor incompatibility.
Are there any known ABS compatibility issues with the IS250 RWD to IS350 RWD front caliper upgrade?

I completed the IS350 upgrade on my 14 IS250 awd. The following link/thread has part # used. The upgrade can be completed for around $500.
I have experienced zero issues.

I wonder if the AWD and RWD 2G/3G IS350 front calipers have the same Lexus part number because the hubs are obviously different. It looks like you used aftermarket, re-manufactured parts from A1 Cardone and I know Rock Auto doesn't separate RWD/AWD calipers (same part number for both), but I wonder if the genuine Lexus part numbers are the same.
Can someone source genuine Lexus part numbers for the below:
2G (2006-2013) IS350 RWD Front Left Brake Caliper
3G (2014+) IS350 RWD Front Left Brake Caliper
3G (2014+) IS350 AWD Front Left Brake Caliper
I assume the brake rotor is the key differentiator because it looks like Rock Auto has different part numbers for AWD and RWD applications.
