Default Looking for the suspension brace

My GS400 brace that connects the crossmember to the caster arms is rusted through on the pass side.

Anyone have a source for one or an alternative?

I might take it to a welding shop to have it repaired, but are there any good alternatives or a good solid used one around?

EDIT: Car is a high mileage daily driver, not a show car, so no fancy pieces that are gonna get salted away are really needed. It took 277k miles to rust the stock brace....

Can you give a picture? Your description doesn't make sense to me. The caster arm connects from the uni-body to the lower control arm... So I have no clue what you're talking about.

Here's your cross-member, which is the part you're talking about?

Damn, I did all the searching I can. Its a hard part to find! Its the front member brace; part number 51403-30030.

I found a used one for $325 (the whole sub-assembly). Probably cheaper to get it welded. I could have sworn there were after-market versions, but only found rear ones.

Are you thinking of this part?

I think there are Cusco and Tom's versions as well.

Yup, thats the part. Thinking it might be best to have a shop weld up the factory one. Didn't realize they were that pricey. Like I said, its my DD and put 35k miles or so a year on, rain or shine or snow and salt. It sees it all.

I need to learn welding and just make my own!
