Default Suspension Damage- 2002 IS300

My son hit a curb at travel speed and damaged front suspensions parts-
both lower control arms(?)
upper control arm
bent strut
rack and pinion broken (at bolt)

Also damaged rear shock

Fireston gave him the estimate at $3,600.

What kind of work is involved for DIY? I'm pretty mechanical inclined so I don't mind the work, just not sure how hard of a job it would be.

Damn that sounds expenisive. I hit a curb earlier today. But it sounds like your son damaged it more than mine. I removed the control arms, the tie rod end, ball joint, spindler, and disc.

The parts i need come out to around 300.
But im doing the labor myself.
Trying save as much as i can.

But good luck and let me know what you emd up doing.

Before you start buying parts I would check for a bent chassis that sound like a big hit and is it worth fixing in $$$. if you are mechanically mined you should know if its worth saving.

Thanks for the input. Ya i agree ill def check that out. After it happen the sterring wheel wasnt shaking nor was it streering offf into another direction other than straight. Not sure if that means the chassis is okay or not. Would you?
