Did you get this resolved? If so how can we ensure this doesn't happen when ordering in the future?

If Bilstein made a mistake I am confident they would fix it and cover the shipping charges both ways.
I know this since I have had them do this for three sets of shocks and on one set they cut the grove but did not move the snap ring.
They covered the shipping costs both ways to fix their mistake.

Yes, they resolved partially, but very slow (took 5 weeks since I reported issue), just got them today back, and this time they send just shocks without hardware that originally came.
Now, again need to contact AJUSA.com to send me at least "shocks metal cover/plug that goes on top of the shock".
flash9: is this part needed, guess need to protect shock, please advise.

I used it and would think you would want it for when the shock top hit the bumpstop.
Interesting you worked through AJUSA with this.
I dealt directly with Bilstein USA since they were the ones doing the shock modification.

Yes, that what I was thinking to be used "hit the bump stop".
I do have now direct Bilstein USA contact, just sent email to both.

Thanks

Just FYI - got missing hardware from Bilstein by UPS overnight - at least that was fast.

Does anyone still have the info for this? I see the shocks are backordered everywhere but wondering if someone still has an invoice to use.

Nevermind. Will take 14 months to get them. I also must not have seen that the new cut voids your warranty from Bilstein.

I have no idea on the wait time, but I will tell you that if you have Bilstein cut the snap ring groove it does not void the warranty with Bilstein.
