Default Help is this F-Sport rear sway bar?

Hi all,

I recently purchased my 'F-Sport rear sway bar' for my 2008 IS350 from my lexus dealership. It looks black instead of blue color shown on ebay listing and part number is 48812-53070 instead of PTR02-53080 (on ebay). My part dealer said this is the F-Sport sway bar, just different color. Sre photos below.

Can you please help me to identify if this is F-Sport rear sway bar with just different paint color (because oem?)?

Thanks

That's the stock Lexus rear sway bar. The F-Sport sway bar is that PTR02-53080 you listed above.

Lot's of difference. See the attached chart I made a few years ago. Also the F-Sport bar does not have the indentation in the middle.

Yes, you should return it and get a refund. The parts guy lied to you

Get the front and rear sway bars if it won't break the bank for you. With just the rear sway bar, your car will be more agile. Adding the front sway bar will also improve stability during heavy cornering.

The F-sport bar does come with indentation pending on the region. In Australia, our F-sport bars come with it, and cannot use the straight one like you guys in the states have because we get clearance issues. I'm not exactly sure what is in the way, but something is in the way.

OP, that said, the bar that you've got is just a stock OEM one. The sales guy probably got mixed up and thought OEM F-sport rear sway bar from an F-sport model ISX50.

I looked at the Australian eBay web site, and found F-Sport Rear bars that were straight just like the ones we have here.

You guys in Australia have a full sized spare?

This is the factory F-Sport package or a 2009+ with the Sport suspension. It is not the accessory F-Sport sway bar, which is likely what you were looking to order.

^^^^Thanks Jeff. Than that's they answer. A straight rear bar will not fit in an 2nd gen IS with a full sized spare. Since the OP is in New Zealand I would assume he has a full sized spare also. I have never seen an F-Sport bar that will accommodate a a full sized spare. Maybe iinkz knows where they are available

I did find this thread in another forum:

http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums...all-sway-bars/

Or the OP could try to locate a rear sway from an ISF. I sold my ISF rear sway to a member with an IS350 and he was very happy.

It looks like the Lexus PN for the ISF bar is 48812-30400:
