Default HSD HR vs. Megan vs. BC......

So these are the 3 coils i've heard of thus far for my budget ($1300.00 range, less is even better......)

HSD HR / Megan / BC.

Can you please specify which line i should go with under that specific brand as I have no idea what is best.

Any advice if you had to pick one right now, and why??

I have a 2010 is250 RWD.

Megans EZ has 15 damper settings.
BC coils have 32 Damper settings.
HSD has 14 or 16 damper settings depending on which HSD coil you get.

I currently have BC's and do not regret it one bit. Suspension is one of the most important parts of a car, why cheap out on something like this.

You should add Fortune 500s to your "looking list."

As many members do, I also have BCRs and love them.

I am currently using BC BR series coils. Got them brand new in Canada shipped for around $1200 CAD (before our currency went to *****).

When I ordered I was able to pick which spring rate I wanted. I decided to go with 16k/12k.

What is a general spring rate to go with?

I dont want the springs sagging and bouncing the ride after a few months.

If you dont specify which rate you want, normally ur defaulted to 10k/8k (front/rear). depending if you want a softer or stiffer suspension, rate up (stiffer), or down (softer).

My bad bro, EZ street are like 15 way adjustable the Megan LPs are 32 way. You can also request to change the spring rate from them if you like. When Platinum VIP installed my cup kit they actually replaced my springs for a slightly shorter one to give me more drop if I desired, but isn't neccessary. If you do some searching online, you can score a set probably as low as $850-$900 brand new and free shipping. EZs even less.

Also is it recommended i order camber kits as well for front and back to avoid nasty tire wear?

Anything else i should order along with the coilovers?

Thanks

If you want a comfy DD setup, my 12k/8k setup is perfect for that. Over time I've found that my more aggressive driving style would have been better suited with a 14k/10k setup though. Some comfort taken away for some additional stiffness.

I currently run 16k/12k. I decided to get stiffer springs as I figured since theres 32 damper settings, might as well put them to good use.

My buddies which sat in my car for the first time when comparing to their stock GS suspension says its stiff but still maintain OEM ride quality.

So far I do not regret my spring rates.

Most posts i read online suggested 12k/10k or 14k/12k or even 14k/10k.

You DD with 12/8? I thought that was super stiff haha. I have personally never ridden in an IS with coils so I don't know, but I was looking into getting them and I thought 8/6 was when it started to get stiff.

Also, why 12/8 as opposed to 12/10 like (I feel) most people run on here?
