Default 1997 SC400 - Best Lowering Springs?

Hi All,

42 y/o new to the Lexus SC game. I would like to lower my car, but not looking to spend a lot (Single Dad on a budget).

I would like a drop, but just enough so it doesn't look stock (is stock bad?). I am looking at putting some staggered 19's (probably Niche Milano). Any recommendations? I had Eibach before on a Honda Civic and those were nice (Pro Kit I believe).

Also look at the Vogtland, H&R and Tanabe's. The Supra TT ones as mentioned above will give good handling. I myself are going with OEM Supra TT springs and bilstein shocks/struts. just waiting on the Top Hats.
Someone had a set of Supra TT springs listed here in the FS section.

I've got some Tanabes, and some Tokico blues in my trunk I'm about to install. I was thinking about the top hats. How do you know if the top hats need to be replaced too?

Check the bearings and rubber insulation to ensure they are in good condition if not get new top hats for your application from Rockauto.com or other auto supply store.

93-98 Supra preferable the TT springs. You can also look into Vogtland and Tannabe springs if you want to go lower.

Espilers springs have the lowest drop out of all for SC. The front can lower another a quarter or half inch if paired with aftermarket shocks like tokicos. I used to have Eibach springs and tokicos shocks and they were much rougher than my current setup.
