Use OEM. I also heard that the EBC green stuff is good too!

Do a search under brakes and you will find a long post I wrote regarding squeaking brakes.

Yeah, and to post the same message for the 3rd time in 1 month, EBC only makes FRONT pads, not rear.

I use "Organic" Pads from NAPA Auto Parts.... They are just as quiet as OEM but considerably less in price... if you put semi-metallic pads on your car they will squeak like crazy. Organic Pads is what you need. The Brand is up to you.

I last bought OEM pads 2-3 years ago, and they were semi-metallic at that point. Now, according to my mechanic, I have about 900 miles left on them, and they are still not squeaking. When changing the brake pads, I am planning to put EBC Green Stuff on front brakes, and either OEM (whatever they are pushing now) or aftermarket organic for rear.

Guys, in the future, please specify the compound (semi-metallic, organic, etc.) next to the brand/color of the pad.

OK, just spoke to Lexus Parts. Brake pads they sell now are organic and sell for about $70 per axle.

Hope this helps.

Default avoid at all costs

I bought the Autospecialty pads and rotors and I would recommend that you avoid them at all costs. Both the front and rear rotors warped within 4,000 miles of use. I had the front ones turned and they seem ok, but it looks like they may already be acumulating deposits from the pads and it's only been a few days. The rear rotors feel like they are essentially trashed. They make the car shake noticibly. I was disappointed to find almost the same amount of shaking with the brakes applied after the front rotors were turned. I do not drive my car hard and I am not one of those late braking drivers. I don't track the car and I don't race people on the street. I am very disappointed with the quality of these brakes, but even more disappointed that I will likely have to trash them to the tune of $275 and start over. Do yourselves a favor and don't buy the Autospecialty stuff.

I've tried them all. I only use Endless CC-X personally.

I don't know why you're saying semi-metallic pads squeak, but I never had that problem with the lifetime waranty semi-metallic pads that I bought from Autozone. They're good as OEM pads. I used them on my lowered Honda Accord for 3" (when lowered, the car stops better, which reduces the life of the rotors & pads). However, I had to replace the pads once a year, but never on my blank Brembo rotors. I took my Accord up to 135 mph with no problem in breaking. I'm really sorry to hear those who had problems with Autozone pads or semi-metallic pads. I agree that they give me some dusts but it's no problem since I wash my car once a week.
