The HKS Hiper Dampers are great and offer a good range for dampening adjustment - 30 settings (stiffness) and ride height adjustment as well. I have had these on my 3 GS's and 2 Surpa's. The ride is very sporty (firm, but not jarring).

There is only one drawback to the HKS ones, the entry price to them is a bit more than the rest, but if you can get a good deal on a set,.. jump on it... they are worth the money.

Thanks

Will

Just curious.... is it the 1st gen. HKS hyper coilovers? Generally speaking, HKS offers top notch coilover sets. You just can't go wrong with HKS but be prepared to pay a little more than TEIN.

I have had the first gen hiper dampers and they are more on the stiff side..more for track use only. The current Hipermax II Dampers are much more versatile for street and track use. For a bit more street touring ride, HKS offers the Hipermax LS for the GS, IS and Infiniti G35's now. The LS (Luxury Sport) are great setups that are more tailor for a sporty yet comfortable luxury car. The Hipermax LS offer height adjustment, but unfortunately no stiffness adjustment. But since they are valve for Luxury Sport already, I guess it makes sense.

RAristo,

You nailed it right now with the HKS Hipermax Dampers II, they are top notch, but just expect to pay a bit more than the Tein.

If you want a somewhat soft ride, go with FLEX, but I wouldn't take it to the track.

i heard on the stiffest setting and a bit on the lower side 2 inches plus, its track aplicable, what would you consider a good coilover for the track ? how about street? tein HA or what?
