Default Steering wheel weird feel

I have a 99 GS4. I was driving today and noticed that the steering wheel doesnt automatically rotate out of a turn like it used to. Whats up with this? Could it be because the lower ball joints on my car are shot? I am getting them replaced tomorrow at the dealer but id like to know what the hell is going on with the steering before I waste $ at the dealer for it. Please someone help!!!!!

Check the powersteering fluid level. Too low or too high can cause this issue.

a return to center issue can be caused by underinflated tires
easiest place to look first
also an alignment is a main thing to look at also after
ball joints usually cause alot more problems like wandering at highway speeds
or floating but anything is possible

Got the ball joints replaced at an independant mech. afterwards the ABS VSC off and VSC light came on. Damn things are costing $180 a piece.supposedly i need two. Anyone else have this experience when messing in or around the front wheel/suspension?

yah one of my rear abs sensors got damaged when i had my car lowered
alittle bit too much of the impact gun to remove it ,damaged mine
he obviously left something unplugged or damaged it
when it the area
lexus may cover the repair
i had mine replaced free because the bearings had too much play, since there is no way to properly remove a abs sensor from that housing without destroying it the replaced bots under the powertrain warranty

mind you i own a 94 es and had this problem in 97
