Tanabe Sustec Front Strut Tower Bar
I am thinking of putting the Tanabe Sustec Front Strut Tower Bar on my IS250. I currently have RSR Down springs and Hankook Evo 2 Summer tires. I go through the canyons quite often as I live on Angeles Crest. Is it worth the $140.00 price tag? For those who have it on their car; how significant was the difference? Also, any difference on comfort while regularly driving?

I have the cusco strut tower bar and honestly I can't tell the difference. Maybe if you drive the car hard but everyday driving, nothing. It does look bling though
If you want better handling performance, I'd give this a try. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/cl-...stem-usrs.html

Instead of the Tanabe front tower bar, the Tanabe front under brace is what you'd want to get to improve responsiveness from the chassis: http://www.tanabe-usa.com/rnd/post/T...n-F-Sport.aspx
Ride comfort will remain the same.

You will definitely feel the difference in handling and front end stiffness when using a combination of strut tower bar and under brace. The front end feels more solid, a crisper turn in and no loss in comfort. I've driven my IS with this setup for some time, but had to uninstall these parts because the hood of my car is not perfectly aligned after repairs (the car has been heavily damaged) and interfered with the tower bar. I've bought the Cusco bar instead - it's thinner than Tanabe one and should not touch the hood insulator. A friend of mine runs a healthy 3IS with Tanabe Tower bar & under brace - the fit is ok and the same positive driving experience )

My car is RWD fellas. Thank you so much for all your input. I've decided to go all out and do the tower brace and under brace and a IS-F rear sway bar which I picked up for next to nothing . I appreciate all your help!

Are you positive? I remember hearing that the mounting locations for the AWD were different?
Also, I went here:
http://www.tanabe-usa.com/towerbar.asp
And was not able to find a listing for IS350.
is it somewhere else? Does the vendor come on this forum?

The vendor emailed me back, they said they do not offer ANYTHING for the AWD IS.
I am very disappointed in these aftermarket companies, its a very bias to the RWD model
