Exclamation Everyone with Tanabe NF210 Springs - What Shocks Are You Running? Ride VS Stock?

Since the L-Tuned springs are discontinued, the NF210 are my top pick. I've found a used set for cheap, but curious what you all are running for shocks, and how you would say it has compared to the stock ride with that combination? If you would also mention whether you have sways, I'd be curious about that as well.

Thanks in advance!

i was riding on NF210s on stock shocks. I like the ride a lot. the thing about these springs is that the front springs will get lower as they wear in while the rears stay the same. some RCAs would even out the drop. compared to stock Is a night and day difference. its still comfortable and not as aggressive as some higher rates but it takes away the stock floating feeling.

I've read through the thread many times. There aren't any examples of NF springs where they state what shocks they use, how it rides, and whether they have sways. This question is more specific.

I used kyb gr2 with my nf210. It rides nice for a daily. I also have TRD bracing and sways. It's stiffer than stock but nowhere as harsh as coilovers that are dumped

I had these springs with stock shocks. Since the spring rate doesn't differ significantly from stock, the factory dampers should be fine assuming they are in good operating condition.

It rode great, but didn't lower enough for my liking.

the spring rate might not be that much off, but the ride height is definitley different and you'll blow out the stock shocks quick.

I wonder if the KYB's are actually any shorter, or if they too are meant for stock spring height. I'd hate to get the KYB's just to have them blow out prematurely due to the incorrect spring length...

No, you're talking to someone who ran the combo for a long time and had no problems at all. Even after 100K miles when I removed the shocks they retracted smooth and showed no signs of any issues (rode great too).

The NF210 is the most modest drop spring available. Run the stock shocks all day with them and don't worry about a thing

Now a DF210, ya, I wouldn't run stock shocks since those springs offer too much of a drop for the stock shocks.

hmm. so after you removed your stock shocks and springs, you could move the shocks by hand?

Not exactly by hand, but by body weight, yes.

I just purchased some Bilstein HD's with 2k miles. We'll see how they are with the NF's.

Btw, any idea if the lifetime warranty on the Bilsteins carries over?

They'll be fine and I don't think the warranty is transferable.
