Question Who is using RCAs on Stock Springs/Shocks?

I'm curious what your experiences have been? Were you able to dial out excessive negative camber to avoid excess tire wear? Were there any noticeable changes in driving dynamics? Did you have to add any other parts to get the alignment right?

Regards!

Im running it now. You dont need anything extra. Driving really didn't change. Front dialed in just fine. The rear I am using the +2 setting. im not sure if its just old springs and shocks but the rear sits lower than the front.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you run sways? Did you do 30mm front and rear? Any pics?

Thanks!

Yes, I've done a few cars with only RCA's now.

I had mine like that a few days, and if you are going to do it I have 2 suggestions.

1) get the 40mm front RCA or it won't sit level.

2) get the rear toe links (megan lists them for IS300, which is same)

Actually I'm wondering if there would be harm in going 30mm front and nothing in rear. I feel like the rear gap is reasonable, while there's at least an extra inch in front I wouldn't mind getting rid of. Would that mess anything up with suspension geometry or balance?

youre definitely going to feel it if you only get the fronts. well at least for a little. but no harm. do you drive it hard? cause having the rear up high and braking in a corner woudl be weird

just remember that the front wheel arch is taller than the rear. its pretty much like that on most cars. no biggie.

What do you mean +2 setting? And what blocks are you running in the rear? SAGE...30mm? (rear)
Thanks for posting that pic.... Your car looks Awesome. (nice wheels, too man!)

I'm just a little confused, because if you're on Stock Suspension plus Front RCA's and rear "RCA's" (even though they technically not RCA's, in the rear, as they don't actually affect the Roll Center, They simply lower it, and give a little more clearance between the lower control arm and shock mount), HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE POSITIVE camber in the back (like I did/DO) ?

I added the LOWEST amount of + camber using the aluminum inserts provided with the Exact Motorsports rear RCA kit, which was +1.5 degrees.

I took it in for an alignment after installing the Figs Toe Arms, of course.... and the car had .05 POSITIVE camber in the rear! Ahhh (Sooo....Just for now, to get it 'flat' in the back....LOL, I fixed it by adding about 140lb of weights in the spare tire well) Rear Camber is now 0.00 degrees. .... I figured the +1.5 would be a wash with dropping it 3/4" in the back, but I was sadly mistaken.

Ohhhh well... I really want to buy a set of the Mega Drop Arms from Figs Engineering, to replace the Exact RCA's in the rear. That would solve it.

Uhhh.. if your coilovers cost $620, they're probably gonna ride like ****. Or be well worn.
I'm not sure you searched at all, if you didn't find any pics of a 2GS with RCA kits? Or are asking if they change the comfort level. They don't. As far as appearance, it'll look like a GS300 with _____mm of drop. You can get front RCA kits anywhere from 17mm to 40mm.
