Default 2001 lexus gs300 brake pads rotors

Hey guys a bought a used GS back 6 months ago. Car is starting to shake when breaking on the FWY. So I think its time to replace both the rotor and pads. Have any of you guys had any luck with after market rotor/pads? Which should I stay away from or which work best? Budget is around 300 for the front.

Thanks,

I use Hawk HPS pads for a little more initial bite, they are pretty inexpensive and work well, but they will dust more than stock.

As for rotors you could get a Brembo blank or like Centric/EBC or maybe Stoptech. I run Stoptech's on my other car and they have worked well so far.

CENTRIC 10507710 (105.07710) 1 $ 24.79

Rotor
CENTRIC 12044090 (120.44090) 2 $ 69.58
CENTRIC 12044083 (120.44083) 2 $ 83.58

Akebono pads off Rock Auto for $46, not the Pro Acts, but the more expensive ones, and ABT slotted rotors (really centric blanks) for $86 with free shipping. There's virtually no dust with the pads, stops well, and are very quiet. As for the slotted rotors, I can't say to whether or not they make a difference, but they look cool and were cheaper than anything NAPA or Advance were offering, that and I've always had good luck with Centric rotors.
