So this is my first time posting on ClubLexus and it's a little nerve wrecking because noobs usually get wrecked. But here goes nothing.

I currently drive a 2014 IS350 Fsport RWD lowered on RSR super down springs.

So I've scoured the whole forum searching tires, wheel sizes and offsets but its kind of bleak on what I'm looking for. I ordered Work Emotion CR2P 19x9.5 +35 for the front, and 19x10.5 +42 for the rears. I was speaking with Mike at RevSpec and he suggested that I go with a 245/35/19 in the front and a 265/30/19 in the rear. Now my first inclinations were that the front tire size might be too much so I have decided to go with a 235/30/19 in the front (tire brand and model TBD) and my rear is what I'm still going back and forth on. I'm honestly looking for extra meat in the rear and a little more aggresiveness. So i'm swaying back and forth on a 265/30/19 or a 275/30/19, I've seen fellow members run a 265/30/19 but I'm curious on whether a 275/30/19 will even fit or will I be chewing tires up left and right.

you are going to rub in the rear with both 265 and 275 given your wheel specs....I would go with 255 rear

I have 19x10.5 +42 in the rear of my IS350 a AWD on down springs with 265-30's and have never rubbed. This could be because super downs are much lower. Just my .02

I think the AWD and RWD setups are different? and you're running down springs vs my super down? I think I might have a trial and error and run some different sizes of tires and see what fits



is it because of my super down springs?

Yes, super downs are quite a bit lower than downs....also you have to consider that the springs will settle more over time....265 would be OK for downs but just marginally....that's why for super downs it will likely rub.....even more so if you go with tires that have squared shoulders (i.e. pilot SS)

That's probably because you don't have full passengers in your back seat.....if you had full passengers + stuff in the trunk, you WILL rub ....

I just did an upgrade to RC350 19" F Sport Wheels and I went with 225/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the rear. The primary reason was that the tire diameters are within 0.3" of the stock IS350 tires which results in a speedometer error of less than 1%. I'm at stock height so no worries about rubbing there.

I'm in the same boat. I'm going back and forth with 265 or 275wide. My wheel specs will be 10.5 et45. I'm lowered on swift springs. -1.1" in the back. Any feedback is appreciated!

you guys can always get rear camber arms to adjust camber to fix any rubbing if you want to go really wide in the back. but adding camber defeats the purpose for adding more rubber....

I have 275/30/19 in the rear with Downs and I never rub. However, I have 245/35/19 in the front and I constantly rub.
*my downs ride a lot lower than most other downs. I think it's because I torture the car on canyons a few times a week.

Yes, absolutely. I"m ordering 265/30/19 tires today and hopefully will have everything installed later next week and I'll definitely post some pics and specs

I'm honestly not going to be surprised if I have to do some fender pulling to make it work but thanks for the input, I'll keep you up to date on what happens

Yeah, I'm running 235/35/19 in the front and I've decided to run 265/30/19 in the rear. I'm on Super downs which is lower than the downs, So I won't be surprised if I have to pull the fenders a little bit but thanks for your input and what you're running. I'll keep you up to date

Me and a member have been discussing about 18x9.5 +35 all around, 265/35 all around, and me doing 18x10.5 +20 on rear (IS250 AWD). He has run his set up for a while now, no issues and my self I should be doing 265/35 all around and hoping I don't need to do too much work on rear (I don't mind doing a pull ) and some negative camber. Wish me luck lol

i'm running 235/35/19 on a 19x8.5 + 35 and 265/30/19 on 19x9.5 +35 and i have no issues (is250 awd on rsr downs)

Do us a favor and post some pictures
