Default Replace OEM brake pads with new rotors??

I am planning on replacing stock rotors with slotted/drilled rotors. Is it necessary to replace the stock brake pads? What are the pros and cons? Thanks.

oh yes, you need new pads. pads and rotors conform to each other and basically won't work with others too well. the pros is that you get things to work the way they should. cons are price of more stuff, and if you don't, braking might fail one day

depend on if your pads are still new or not, if they are pretty new, then keep them. If they are more than half way gone, then replace them, so you don't have to do this any again any time soon.

For street use, I'd say that pretty much sums it up!

Actually it depends on what you do with the car. If you track the car than NEVER change the pads and rotors at the same time as it promotes glazing. break in each seperately. For street use you can change both at same time if you want. Doesn't really matter. Since I'm hard on brakes I always change pads and rotors seperately.
