Default rear brake warning light does not go out

Hi,

I have a 2020 GS 430 and the rear brake light warning indicator on the instrument cluster is illuminated. I checked and a bulb was burned out so I replaced it. However, the warning idicator is still illuminated. Any thoughts?

Make sure you check everything.....3rd brake light, inner tails, etc...

Reset ECU by removing negative battery terminal for an hour or so....then reinstall.

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be that I just bought the wrong bulb. Make sure your new bulb has two little lightning "spirals" inside, not one.

Yep don't get the wrong bulb. The Brake lights have dual filaments. I believe 7443 is the correct bulb size. 7440 is the single filament for turn signals and such. Good luck on the fix!

What bulb goes in the trunk brake light? (you know, the ones that go pink with age)

I can't confirm if it is a 7440 or a 7443 and only 1 filament used. Seen that done enough on other cars.

Whoa!!! 2020 GS you from the future dude?

Anyways, having this same problem. My High mount brake light bulbs were burnt out. I replaced them but still have warning indicator. Some one suggested that I need to use I believe 168 instead of 194 I think

Any thoughts on this guys???
