Default Coilover installation issue

I bought Tein street basis coilovers and a buddy of mine was about to install them but he noticed that the coilovers didnt come with struts I believe? (the three bolts under the hood holding the suspension) He said I need to use my stock ones so I need a compressor for the spring to install them.. correct me if I'm wrong! Any idea on how much a shop would charge for installation?

I believe you mean the strut mounts? The kit requires you to use your OEM strut mounts so you will need to use a spring compressor to remove them. It shouldn't be much for a shop to remove and replace them for you if the shocks are already off the car.
