Default Flex's on and still too muc roll 4 me

Got my Tein flex's on and settled and max stiffness and just kissing my tires
Also have a STB and l-tuned ecu
but still feel that my car floats around a little too much for my taste
I know my car will never handle like a coupe like i would want it
but would like to get some opinions on what i should do next

springs and shocks help, but when it comes to body roll sways correct that problem the most. i'd say get daizen of trd sways

Your missing one essential ingredient. TRD sway bars (front and rear)
I too have the tein flex and alone will not work to elimate body roll completely. The sway bars are designed for this reason. You will be suprised with the stock sway bars and the heavy duty TRD ones. The stock ones are so light and flimsy looking while the TRD ones are much heavier and will need 2 hands lift.

Also, I would look into getting the TRD or TOM's Lower chasis brace.

Get these things and than see how your car will handle. The sway bars truly make all the difference.

But now watch out for your rear end coming loose.

Good luck

Like everyone said, sways are what you need. From my experience, though, the sways are not enough. Yes it will fix most of the roll but I felt less confidence in the car's rear end after the install. I put on the TRD front LCB and Tom's rear LCB and the car handles great now. I don't have any STB since I wanted UGO and have not been able to get them. I am sure some will also say the STBs will help.

Anyway, at the very least get the sways. Body roll will be mostly gone. Then add as needed.

Hey Neo,
You might PM Bitkahuna for more clarification, but he mentioned that after installing the Toms rear lower chassis brace, the floating feeling from the rear end was gone... It will be one of my next upgrades, because I definitely know about the "lack of confidence" feeling you describe. Hope this helps!

Hi mumbles,

If you read the next statement after the quoted one, you would have known that I did install the rear LCB and the car handles great now.

I am just waiting for the STBs and the Tom's 6-link to complete the suspension package. This year hopefully.

I got the Tein HA first and had the same problem, still too much float. Per the comments, the TRD sways took care of that.

I have the front and rear lower chassis braces and the 6 link left, myself. Hope to take care of that soon. But the RMM LSD calls, I'm having a tough time trying to determine which to do first.

wheels my friend..wheels.....9 in front and 10 in rear and you'll have some killer handling, remember that you can only turn as much as your tire will let you. Therefore, if you don't have a wide tire there's nothing to keep it planted.

Although wheels will help handling and it will look nicer, the sways will go much farther in getting rid of body roll.

Also
During high speed lane changing, my steering sometimes over steers twds the direction turning twds and I have to quickly get back in alignment. I talked to my mechanic about it and he said I might want to tighten my steering rack. What do you guys think? I think this is the next thing I am gonna work on besides getting my sways and Sportsline skirts.

i don't suggest just tighten up the steering unless it's the TSB issue, that's safety. have you gotten the ecu? that would help. and what you experiencing is the steering wheel respsonse. as soon as you started changing the suspension, assume done correctly, your steering wheel response would be much faster. make a slight turn and the car goes immediately. if you have sways you can tell that even more obvious
