Hello Im new to the forum, but here it go's I have a 1999 gs 300 and the car runs very well the trouble was that the trans went out had it replaced, now when the car is running you hear a tapping sound which seems to come from the transmission, A friend used a fiber video camera and looked inside of the bell houing we did have a loose converter bolt , but is almost looks like the start my be touching something or maybe there maybe some type of shield that may be bent. Any one heard of or had a issue like mine..
