Glad to see this worked out for you... I have been really pushing to get this done for my 250 awd... if you don't mind me asking: how much did this upgrade cost you in the end?
I finally got around to the IS 350 brakes on my IS 250 AWD; it was about time too, I pretty much was running on less that 1 mm of pad and occasionally the driver's side was making grinding (metal on metal) sounds. I rebuilt my calipers (at a suggestion from a friend of mine) so I was able to inspect the pistons (sealing surface was clear of pitting and defects ) and clean the surface rust off of them, not to mention that a couple of dust boots were ripped. It was a relatively simple bolt on affair in terms of difficulty, the only issues I encountered was getting parts of the dust shield bent back to clear the rotor (especially by the tie rod ends). I definitely like the brake feel of the four piston, fixed caliper and the low dust pads (finally mostly clean wheels).
