98 GS3 brakes FAILED BIG TIME!!!
Hi everyone , just purchased a 98 GS300 here in Vancouver. Car has been great until today.
I was on my way to school doing about 50mph on the bridge, then I tapped the brakes and noticed the car was not braking. Worst thing the brake pedal was all the way down to the ground and I couldn't get it back up. Had to slow down in traffic using downshift then eventually stop with my E-brake.
Stopped then turned off the car. Bumped the brakes a few times and brake fluid level started rising. But when I turned on the car, the brake fluid level drains very fast.
Anyway, I got a brake fluid flush and it seems to be okay now. However, I am still kind of scared about what happened. There were no leaks or anything and I don't think air can go in all of a sudden.
Has anyone ever had this problem?
There were no engline/service lights or any sorts of warning signs. That's the scary part. Please help out the newb.

Shouldn't have that problem again now that you have had it checked out. Good lesson to learn here, make sure you check your fluids yourself because the dealers and service stations aren't unless there is money to be made.

rodneyk, i bought this off an elder man. He had all the service records since day one from the dealership and its a clean title.
Right now it brakes fine. However, I think i will take it to the dealership and have them do a diagonosis or something in a few weeks

Dude I have the same prob its your brake master cylinder assembly don't have the dealership do it cuz the part 1934$ not including tax. You will have to search the junk yards for a 01-05 master break assembly it cost me about 540$ for the part but better than 1934$ good luck I am still trying to fixing mine parked in the garage for now : (.
