Extended Wheel Studs

My front HRE wheels have a really thick, high disc, which causes my stock wheel studs to be too short. Currently with my Work RS lugs, I am only able to get 5 full rotations before they are totally torqued down. This is obviously not enough. The Work lugs have also easily stripped, they back off easily, and I just don't want to have my wheel unsafely mounted.

I am looking for extended wheel studs. I plan on buying Project Kics R40 or Project Mu Floating Racing Nuts, which are both open ended. I am currently torn between ARP Wheel Studs (From the IS300) or the Project Kics Universal Wheel Studs. The Project Kics are universal for Toyota and come in either 10mm or 20mm longer.

Which wheel stud would be better for me? Price doesn't really matter, I just want a stud that is well made, will fit correctly, and will help end my wheel problems.

Thanks!

Don't get the spacers with studs in them, they are known to fail...which is exactly what you are trying to avoid here. Just get the IS300 extended studs and press out (DO NOT HAMMER OUT) and press in the new ones.

GL!

I wasn't planning on getting spacers + studs... Completely would go against the entire goal I'm going for here. Haha. I simply was just asking which of those two (Project Kics or ARP) would be a better application for my needs.

Oh, I read "Project Kics" and automatically assumed you're looking at the spacer with the studs in them. Just get the proven ARPs; plenty member on here have done the swap with great results.

I'd just get the ARP. Tried and proven company that I trust.

ARP definitely is proven over Project Kics. I would go with them too.
