Default 2006 IS 250 Rear CV Axle - AWD vs. RWD

Good afternoon friends!

I have a 2006 IS 250 AWD that has a failing Right (Passenger side) rear CV Axle. I called the dealer to ask how much the CV Axle (boot) was and they said for the IS model they don't sell just the boot and that I would need to purchase the whole assembly for $1,048. The parts guy at the dealer was nice and mentioned if it were him, he would search for the rear CV axle online. I did and found some used ones for around $200 or less.

Here's the problem/my question: is there a real design difference for the rear CV joint on a AWD IS vs a RWD IS? The parts guy at the dealership said they had different part numbers but there was no specification on whether they were AWD or RWD specific. He seemed unsure, but did say he thought they would be the same exact part. Can someone please help/share some insights on how I could find out before purchasing one?

Thank you so much!
