The difference between the 250 and 350?
Hey CL,
I had a question I was hoping you guys could help me answer. I have a '08 250 and recently noticed I have some major rotor warping going on with my front rotors. So I was wondering, is it possible to put the 350 calliper on a 250? I know it would be somewhat pointless because it's only the 2.5L but I am still wondering. Also I was wondering, are there draw backs to putting bigger callipers on a car that doesn't necessarily need it? Like Brembos on a civic?
Thanks all

Barring incorrect installation, rotors do not warp.
What people (including many brake shops) mistakenly call "warped" rotors is uneven pad transfer.
it's not fixed with 'bigger' brakes, which are useless for a street-driven car in most cases... it's fixed (or entirely avoided) by proper bedding and use of your existing brakes.

You certainly can put larger brakes on your 250, including using 350 brakes, but it won't do anything at all for you besides look a little nicer unless you'r'e either using the car on a racetrack, routinely driving down the sides of steep mountains, or actively evading police pursuit.
