Brake bleeding question
I am going to install Supra TT calipers and rotors on my 2000 GS300 and had a question about bleeding the brakes. I'm going to replace my lines with SS brake lines so I know that bleeding will be required. I've searched and read what I could, but everyone seems to have a different opinion about the process.
If I'm only replacing the front brake components I should only need to bleed the front brakes correct? Also from what I've read and already know, bleeding the front brakes is just like most cars. Do the passenger then the driver's side. You only need to turn the key for the rears correct? Any help from those who have done this would be greatly appreciated.

There's no need to bleed the rears...but with that being said...it did it anyways as a precaution.
Turning the key ignition to ON position will start the brake pump...this helps, but you still need someone to pump the brake pedal for you.
Also, make sure you always have enough brake fluid in the reservoir, and if you have a chance...rebuild the caliper seals....good luck.

It is much easier with two people as well. Also, try not to bottom out the brake pedal while do this. After I put on the SS lines, my car go some air in and that VSC light and the annoying buzzer would be on. It took months to get all the air out. And the brake master cylinder level sensor is really sensitive to level now. I would not do the SS lines again. Hope you have better luck.
