Default I want to overhaul my whole suspension......need advice/help.

First and foremost......I am not going to take hours to search, I am sure its all out there, but seriously I would rather get current and up to date feedback/information.

So, I want to overhaul my whole suspension......I want to replace all the metal bits, and the bushings.

I come to you CL, to ask what all the metal bits are (I just know of the control arms and really thats it).
Rust is the issue with my car so I want everything metal wise for the suspension to be replaced, and with new poly based bushings (if there is not a manufacturer for the poly, then just oem).

Along with that, I have chosen Tein for the strut bars (rear/front). And Fortune Auto for the coilovers (may change my mind to Tanbe Pro5's so I can use the TEAS).

So unsure which brand to use for sway bars, and all the other metal bits.......

My goal is pretty much just replace it all, and have new bushings. If I lower the car it will be by a mere 2-3 inches tops....

Thanks for all of your help in assisting me. I thank you very much for your time.

And to anyone who cannot provide information, find another thread to gunk up.

thanks!!!

I am currently doing the same thing.

I replaces the caster arm bushing with a Roca bushing you can get from ebay. I wish I would have just got caster arms from the dealer though.

I got lower baller joints, outer tie rods, inner tie rods all Moog from rock auto.

I am going to get SPC upper control arms and megan coil overs this comming week.

Only thing left for the front will be the lower control arm, sway bar links, and sway bar bushings. But i dont think i will be doing the LCA.

As far as the back It will have to wait for the front to be done.

Here's a current list -- not sure what you mean by current because the cars don't change parts based on time.

Front:

Get new shocks, and/or springs, coilovers, or air.

1. castor arms also known as lower control arm #2 or replacement bushings (daizen, figs, roca, trd) $360 new arms/$275 figs
2. lower control arm #1 or replacement bushings $350
3. upper control arm (adjustable if needed) or upper control arm bushings $650/$400
4. sway bar end links $180
5. sway bar bushings $15
6. steering rack bushings $45
7. new steering rack lol
8. lower ball joints $190
9. outer tie rods $145
10. inner tie rods $300

Rear

1. Adjustable toe rod $200
2. Adjustable traction rod $115
3. adjustable upper control arm or upper control arm bushings $500+/$???
4. lower trailing arm bushings (trd) $150
5. upper trailing arm bushing $150
6. sway bar links $150
7. sway bar bushings $15

8. rear supra diff bushings (if needed) $150
9. center supp bearing for driveshaft (if you need to) $150
10. rear subframe bushings (if needed) ???

Hope that helps.

Also for the price of roca bushes, i'd go trd.

Those prices are high, check rock auto. Roca Bushings are ok but i bought the one with the lower control arm bushing so it was $120. Then i paid $120 to have bushing pushed in. So I could have got new caster arms for that price. I haven't drove since installing them though since i am still replacing things.

Those are dealer prices, if you replace them with a cheaper alternative, 9 times out of 10 you'll go through 2 aftermarket parts before another oem.

OEM is the way to go. Great write up, I have to tackle all of them.
