Default Low Dust Pads?

Are these them? I thought they were supposed to be green. I thought I read that somewhere....

Also the rears didnt specify whether or not they had low dust so I just got regular ones...
I ordered off of sewell. What do you think ?

Did you select "low dust" on Sewell's site : Part #: 0446530400PC

IIRC yes the low dust pad backing is green!

i bought mine last month from sewell, but mine was the front
if u ordered low dust pad then it should be, they dont label low dust pad on them
yup they smell like "shiet" tho
just so u know, the low dust pad doesn't work as well as the one u had
btw the rear doesn't need low dust pad, because the dust is not as bad as the front

Does not work as well in what way?

because it certainly stops the car in exactly the same distance.

Kurtz,...I think he means the initial bit is not as aggressive as the original pads,...it's a psychological thing

i had the low dust pads before.. I selected low dust but just was not sure if they actually gave me them or not. Now if they are supposed to be green backs I am confused... Do I have the Low dust ones? Thanks for telling me about the rear.. I was not to sure about that

04465-30450 is the TSIB brake pads meant to address the front brake squeal on IS/GS models. They are to be used in conjunction with new shims and rotors (04945-30330, 43512-30350 and 43516-30040)

04465-30400 are the pads that would have come on your car, and they are the low dust pads. 04465-30450 would appear to me to also be low dust pads, since the TSIB lists them as replacing 04465-30400, however I have not used them, I do not know what their pad compound is. The high dust pads are Textar T4146, the low dust pads are NBK D6893H.

Jeff
It should say what the pad material is on the metal backing of the pad. Probably the NBK compound, I can't make it out from the image though. What does it say?

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. I was getting tired of bugging you so I made a post haha...
The markings on the back of the pad are NBK D6893H-FF

My low dust pads came with a blue backing as well ... (IS350 pads)

Maybe the blue paint was cheaper?

My low dust pad came in black backing color. The dust is super low, so low that it produce virtually no dust at all. The initial bite is around 30% reduced. The overall brake performance is marginally reduced. No, I didn't do any scientific testing but from the seat of my pant.
