Brake assist might be great for the masses but I want the brakes to work exactly how I make them work. Maybe I just need a Porsche?

I believe the 00 and up GS has brake assist and my car falls into that.

The car may stop quickly but my foot sure doesn't say it.

I doubt it is possible with all the "protect the driver from himself" gizmos but I thought I'd see if anyone had given it any thought.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel for the basic mods and am looking toward the future!

I don't know about that.

Power brakes are standard on all the 98-03 GS models.
VSC can be dissabled each time you step into the car.
VSC will dethrotal the car if it sense slip.
When applying the breaks with your foot ABS pumps the fluid to the callipers and will prevent whell lock.

I would not F__k with my brakes. This is the one thing you do not want to fail on you.

my 01 911 came with brake assist as standard.

Ummmm....I was thinking early 90's. '94 3.6 at best!

I must say nice car though!

Even Porsche is protecting the driver from himself now...maybe that is why some of the car magazines had some gripes about the latest 911T edition. I could get a GT2!!!!! Riiiiiiiiight.
