So how soft are these? More comparable to stock suspension than aftermarket spring/shock set-up? I'm looking to get some 19"s for the wife's IS and lower it an inch or so but I'm not sure if I want to go the coilover route or lowering springs. This car will NEVER see any time on a track or anything close to that and I do not anticipate needing to adjust ride height beyond the 1-1.5" I'd like to drop the car. Obviously stiffening up the ride though is highly desired.

if for everyday cruising the streets use...I would say 12/10 is perfect...if at any point you want to lower it a little more ride quality wont be compromised much...10/8 is too soft IMO

Then you want coilovers.

The problem with springs is that after you drop the car, your stuck with however the ride is. You can buy different shocks, but then its going to end up costing you just as much (or even more) than a decent coilover setup

I've been snoping for weeks on here...I have NO idea what to do. I hate the spoked rims on my 09 IS250 but there are so many different setups and what not that I'm completely confused on what to do now....

I just want someone to tell me, buy this, but that, have this place install it. LOL

I put these on my Civic and, "they suck"! Spend a little more, unless you like feeling like a pogo stick. They squeak and have severe spring float. Not even a helper spring would make these better.

I'm buying a set of BC with swift springs and not skimping. I'll spend a little over double the price but could've saved myself the headache if I didn't rush and buy cheap junk. Don't waste your money, we all work hard for what we have, spend wisely.

Test it out. Try a setting then go for a ride then adjust.

I tried softer first, and didn't like it at all. So I went maybe 75% stiff and like it much more.

I was surprised in Megan EZ coils , I was planning on buying BC but things came up and I still wanted coils ASAP so I went ahead and got Megans. When I read that they ride like stock , I can verify they ride nice right out of box with factory settings. I used to have BC and it was a stiff ride the girl friend always complain about the ride lol but she does not mind the Megans, i just daily drive the lexus no track so I figured that Megans would work fine I had them on for about 3 months and no issues would highly recommend them, best coils for the price

I have a question, right now, both my front tires are fairly low right now (no wheel gap) and when winter hits, I will want to raise it a bit. However, I don't know how much more room I have to raise it. When I look through the little hole on the shock, I can see the end of the lower threads, not sure how much more I can go beyond that before there are not enough threads to handle the force. Hopefully this makes sense.

Also, is it best to keep the damping even on all 4 corners, or would there be an advantage to have maybe softer in the rear?
