Default LS400 brake users. come on in

i just bought some OEM pads for my LS calipers and they look very strange to me.
theres a good chunk of the pad gone from every single pad i have.
it seems like machining work, but i've never seen it before. my old aftermarket pads weren't like this.
any ideas?
i installed em as is anyway

and heres a fun pic of varsttoen wheels on my fronts

they chaffer the sides to help brake noise, vibration, and brake material.

some manufactuers cut the sides out like \____/, some have this groove, some even have it curved out..

Yup brake pads are directional, what do you mean facing in the forward direction ?

there should be an offset guide pin hole where it lines up with the guide pin? should only be able to go in 1 way i believe.

You know the picture u posted with your right front wheel, okay on the inside brake pad the shaded part goes on the bottom, same thing with the outside pad. If put on wrong they tend to sqeak like crazy!

How do you like the LS calipers? I have them on my GS and it seems I have to push the pedal way to far to get any stopping power out of them...
