Default Need help air ride leaking air

My air tank is not holding air. Over night I would lose the whole 150psi that's stored in there. I found some fittings to be leaking so I took them off and put new Teflon tape on and put them back on. I'm still losing air but at a slower pace. The leaks seem to be coming from the fitting. Alot of the air ride guys say don't use Teflon tape but most other ppl say I should. Now after the install I have all these leaks I want to take it out and reseal everything.

My question is, is there anything better or does the job of Teflon tape? Seems like my problem is the Teflon tape is not sealing correctly. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

try using the yellow teflon tape. its made for oil and such, but since its thicker, it might help u. also, are u wrapping the tape correctly? shouldnt be any leaks unless u have bad fittings

why would you not use teflon tape?? air would excape EVERYWHERE if you didnt use it.

You can use the paste.. i used it and it works good too.. just i hate how messy it got... so i cleaned it up and reverted back to tape.

are you sure its leaking from the fittings? Try some water|Soap mix and spray the area to locate where its leaking exactly.

Got pic of your fittings? Are you using compession or shark bite fittings? If compression maybe tightening to tight?

Werd. Loc Tite works wonders. Also Teflon that is designed for gases works well too. But get a spray bottle full of soapy water and spray every connection to find which ones are leaking

how much do you wrap on the fitting. i use to go over mine like 3 to 4 times.

get a bottle of soapy water and spray everything down. it will show you where all the leaks are.
