Default Squeaky Rear End

Just recently I noticed that the back end squeaks when I go over bumps. Any ideas?

Someone posted a thread on this not to long ago and we were coming to the conclusion that about 99% of the time it's the strut mounts? They say lub it up and you'll have squeaks no more.

Here's the link to the thread. Ends up being the 'rear carrier axel bushing' that you need to replace I believe.

Talked to one of my buddies. He said it was the spring that had gone bad. But I'm gonna check out the bushings first cuz that would be a lot cheaper.

According to the other post - linked above it says you need a press.

But has done this without a press? Can you give me some ideas on how it was done? THX

This guy is 100% right. You will not need a press because nobody make this bushing. The only solution is to buy the rear knuckle assembly for 400+ dollars.

What bushing did you buy and where did you get it? Is it the same one discussed in this thread? I need to find a bushing because my car sounds like a matress.

in that thread, figs stated that the bushing the op bought wasn't really a good design. the oem bushing has a spherical bearing or something, where as the replacement was just a tube or something. i think the spherical bearing was part of the design because 4 wheel steering was offered in japan. i read where 2 companies offer the spherical versions (without dust boots though) and was wondering if he bought one of those.

I might have the wrong bushing then... Does anybody have the part number for the bushing where the camber bolt goes?
