bump for a old thread ! I was at 24.5 inches in the front with my stock wheels, now with my new setup on 19" I decided to drop it a little more to about 23.5-23.75ish in the front. I am contemplating if I want to raise it back up a little because I don't want to mess up my CV boots *knock on wood* but I love the way it looks right now. Any suggestions have anyone else run 23.5-24 inches from ground to fender without a problem thus far?

Guys im not to technical when it comes to this, what are CV boots? I just have a local shop tell my my left axle is blown and a boot is ripped open. My right one is leaking. I have an AWD and am lowered on BC coils. Is this the problem? They want $2500 to do the job, im so friggin bummed out

Bumping this thread up in search for more information. I've been lowered on an AWD 25" ground to fender for the past year. I've never been satisfied with this height, and want to go down to 24.5. Only reason i waited this long is because i was afraid of the CV boot leaking. Has 24.5 been tried and true by many? And does anyone have a pic of their car at this height?

Here are pics of my car at 24 inches from fender to ground with 20s, rode like this for about 4 months with no issues and raised it to 25 inches b/c winter was approaching, i believe a member ran 24.5 inches for a good while and had no problems

If you go too low it will rip the CV boots because the suspension was not designed to RIDE that low ALL the time! 20" wheels and 25" ride height seem to be a safe zone for CV boot longevity!
Take a look at the front and rear axles to see how far up they are,...this will tell you if you're too low. It's not a good idea to have them up,...past horizontal.

im at about 24inches with 19inch rims and the biggest problem i had so far was the vibration when im at the stop light on the brakes. if i put it on neutral the vibration would stop. And another problem was my camber was way off, and it blew out 2 of my rear tires, so now i have to invest in those megans rear camber arms. Anyone find out a way to fix the vibration yet?

My ride is RWD and it on super static.. I got CV boot leak in the rear and I know that's the way lower car have CV boot leak.. Also my buddy KIET rolling AWD dump and he told me something happen.. The CV boot ripped and fall on the ground.. HE cant drive it because the cv need replace.. He bought new cv assemble and then sold his ride.. He dont like AWD anymore and he learn his mistake

Is there anyway to tell how low is too low?
I am lowering my car this weekend. I was planning to do 25" from ground to fender with my 19s.
I want to go 24 or 24.5" but don't want to risk it.
