Default Can someone please help measure front sway bar!

PICS IN POST #9

i got a daizen yesterday and installed it and noticed my end links were slanted inward so i took it back out and measured it, it is 47" outside to outside and the stock is 48" outside to outside. well ive read sme of you are bending endlinks and this would definatly do that. so im wondering if others are 47" and some are 48" also the holes do not line up with them back to back heres a quick diagram

..______.. stock and links |_________|

.._____.. daizen and links \ _______ /

anyone have one of these they can measure??

TIA

rear end links you are suppose to swap them from inside to out.

so if they were bolted ----> into the sway bar, u now bolt them <----- into the sway bar.

this is because the daizen rear sway bar is physically wider than the oem one.

He is 100% right. Here you will find the pdf instructions on how to properly install your new sway bars. http://www.daizensporttuning.com/ins...ns/g2-2005.pdf

Make sure to ONLY USE Daizen sway bar grease or you will be sorry you didn't >
If you don't have any i strongly recommend you buy some (as a matter of fact its not even an option you have to get the grease).

you can buy grease from TM engineering ( all the crap some people talk about TM its not true) if he has the part you will get it very fast (got my grease in 2 days). Good Luck

hmmmmm, i dont remember if the front one was wider or not. i just remember i installed it the wrong way once, and the bar was rubbing against my crank pulley.

the correct install will have a dip of 1 to 2inchs from the crank pulley edge.

the sway isnt exactly horizontally flat across, has a dip in the middle to clear that pulley

also the grease is standard white lithium grease. you can pick up a tube at ur local car parts store, but i still bought that mega bundle from TM engineering just because its so much easier and convienent to use.

the front bar links only can go in one way not reversible like the rear. its not an installation error it looks like a swaybar manufacturing defect unless some can explain why they made it narrow at the bar ends. which to me would overload and bend end links.

still hoping someone can measure there front bar

take a pic for us man ..... i got the bars on my car and did not have that issue on the front (dont really know what u talking about)> maybe u have the wrong bar??? i dont know what to tell u???

i will be doing an oil change and service the front bar (yes u do have to service the bar every 6k-10k, depends on the weather or type of driving). I will measure the bar for u then (couple weeks). once again dont even bother installing the bars with out the grease form daizen ( i did and got some special grease that someone recommended on the forums and 3 days later it start to squeak like a **** pig). Also the front where the endlinks connect to the bars via the 12mm they are going to be to short (you will see what i am talking about) i put on with those and 1 day later the bar came loose.....anyway i bought some grade A bolts that are longer and did it that way>
