Default Beck/Arnley Front sway bushings

I ordered a set of front sway bushings earlier in the week from Rock Auto. $16.57 plus shipping ($5) to my door in two days. they are the Beck Arnley brand. Funny thing is they are made in Japan and have the Lexus part number stmped into them. Makes me wonder if B/A isn't producing at least some of Lexus' OEM parts.

Most likely, Beck Arnley is just a distributor.
From my experience, it is not uncommon to get OEM from a after-market suppler.

Toyota rarely makes their own stuff in house. Most of the stuff are contracted outside of the company.

My guess would be if B/A doesn't produce this part, they buy them from the same manufacturer Lexus does.

Yep!Yep!Yep!

Somebody mentioned in another thread that B/A was a division of Dana Corp.
Very possible you'd get the exact same part if you bought it from the dealer.

That was me that posted that, I did research and found that out. Gave me confidence to buy the BA UCA, they had the same stampings as the originals. Time will tell if they hold up, but they looked to be oem.

BA is the division that makes stuff for Jap/Korean cars for Dana, web site says the supply directly to the manufacter.

Pays your money takes your chances. It seems reasonable if they made them originally that they would be willing to sell the cheaper with having the tooling paid for and now that the cars are 6 -12 years old makes sense to price them right.

Bump..

I need to replace all of my control arms. Does anyone know for sure whether the Beck Arnley control arms are OEM or not? Do they have the same quality?

Thanks

I bought Beck Arnley lower ball joints. My friend who has 25 years as a tech and service manager, said they looked OEM quality, and he knows how fussy I am.

Beck Arnley is large supplier of parts to Lexus, they are a subsidiary of the "Dana Company" which makes axles and drive line components. BA is their company for asain parts.
