I've got Eibach/ bilsteins and love the ride. It's firm and comfortable.

I have Eibachs on stock shocks, very smooth, but not the 2" drop you're looking for...

Anyone got Tein Springs and/or Kyb GR2 on their GS?

I had Tein S-Tech / KYB GR2 on a 99 gs300. Obviously much nicer ride than stock, handled very nice. Only goofy thing about tein springs on our cars is that they chose to put a stiffer spring rate in the back, and softer rate up front. Just felt a little odd to me while driving. Im a huge fan of Tein, but id choose a different setup for this car, just my opinion... hope this helps.

I'm on Tein Stech's/Bilstein HD's/ and Sage RCA's. The drop is 2.5" front and 2.1" in the rear. The ride is perfect. I really wanted to stay away from the stiffer/bouncier ride that usually comes along with most coilovers. I've ridden on BC's, Cusco's, Stance's, and Tein coilovers in my Suby and have yet to find a set up that rides as smooth and comfortable and what I have installed on my 2GS right now. Granted, the suspension set up is different between the Subaru and Lex, but I'm really happy with the choice to go non-coilover for this car. It suites my needs perfectly

So which one out of these 3 Tein, Tanabe & Eibach gives soft, comfortable ride that is associated with the luxury part of the GS? I also interested in a 1"-1.5" drop that will make the car look nice compare to the stock setup.

Are there any negatives to upgrading from stock to aftermarket springs & shocks and lowering your car? Will certain parts of your car wear out faster?

Depends how low you go. If you stay within a 2" drop you should be fine though.
In any case, ball joints will wear faster. When dropped you will run into camber issues also, causing uneven tire wear.

We can get you a custom "Comfort" setup with a set of BC Racing coilovers if that's what you're going for. Drop your height how you want it, 32 levels of damping adjustment and a custom CMS comfort setup

PM us if you're interested.

Do you happen to have pictures of your car with this set up? Thanks!

I actually do, but they're not that great quality, and they're saved on my work computer. I'm currently running 20" Work Meister S1's, but I think I might have pics when I had my 19" SF Winnings too........ I'll post them up tomorrow when I get to work.

Will any of the 3 Tein, Tanabe & Eibach Springs give you an even drop on all corners? I notice that each brand has a different drop size. I notice the front of my has a bigger wheel gap than the rear of the car.

Yes, the front is higher than the rear with stock suspension. Springs that give a bigger drop in front than in the rear will give you an even drop. I don't know how much the difference is though.

The instructions of S-tech springs say to cut the bump stops. I think it must be the same for other springs also.
