Default Question on brake pad change

I am changing the front brake pads back to oem pads. Do I need to purchase the shims as well as the front brake kit from sewell? (This is my first time doing pads) Thanks.

Nope, just the pads should be needed. Not a hard job at all, should only take about 30 mins for both sides. Good luck.

if i remember correctly, the backplate for the pads to prevent squealing should be changed if the old ones are pretty beat up (sold separately). the shim kit would be best if things are pretty old and worn down as well, youre from florida so i doubt you drive much in any winter snow weather, they should be ok still if you have previously changed them.

just use the old shims...makes sure to buy some anti-squeal paste...be generous with it.
