ls 400 brakes upgrade...do i need a bracket?

Default ls 400 brakes upgrade...do i need a bracket?

if i upgrade to Ls400 calipers and rotors do i need a special bracket? and if so what kind and where can i get it?

IIRC if you grind down a bolt a little it should fit direct... Do you search, you'll find it.

Check the GS brake section.. I just posted this same type of thread.. Great info from others ho already have done the LS400 BBK..

No it's direct Bolton. Grind tie rod end nut or install RCA

well you do need a RCA i believe just not a bracket.

They bolt up without any bracket but don't clear the tie rod bolt. You need either RCA's like was said or to shave the caliper and unused threads on the bolt to make them fit. I shaved the bolt and caliper and it's worked out fine for me, the RCA's would be a better option if you're on coilovers and can adjust the ride height to compensate for the RCA's.

rcas dont shave the bolt to the tie rod because when you go to get the alignment they will ruin them pop the off wont be able to thread the nut back on. and you really dont want to shave the caliper and go to far and have it fail under pressure while your braking... i made some rcas with washers and 1/4 inch plate and my weilder. but i am waiting for figs histeer arms with better lower ball joints and the rca clearance built in check them out..

Are the rear brakes on the LS 400 able to go on the 2Gen GS....? Since a few people have done the fronts how about anyone attempted to do the rear?

Supra TT 4pod brake caliper VS 95-00 LS400 4pod brake caliper, DIFFERENCE?
