If cost wasn't a big problem, I'd seriously consider a set of carbotech 1521 pads, goodridge ss lines, ATE Blue brake fluid, and a set of DBA 4000 series rotors. This will pretty much handle all that you'll ever throw at it on street tires.

Brembo slotted, SS lines, ATE blue fluid, Carbotech 1521 pads.. Thats the advice i got the other day...
I have that same setup except the Carbotech pads and Fluid.. I was told the combo will have a great bite for the GS..
I think everyone has a great combo but may not be what the OP is looking for...
some are great when they're heated up and will take the abuse of the track; but at what cost? Some are horrible unless they're at it's optimal operating temp. We all have our brakes setup to our liking.
Rotora blank, Project mu NS, JZA80 4 pot, is what I have. Initial grab, which is what I wanted to improve, is a lot better. Overall stopping distance probably hasn't changed with a stock booster. Time for some SS lines when it gets warmer for more consistent pedal feel.

They don't have an application for the LS400 yet? That's weird. But you should talk to Tom over there and tell him how you would like the pads to do such as initial bite and pad release and he'll set you up with a custom pad compound. They are local to me and I love knowing that I can stop by when I need info or new pads.
They do have pads for the LS400 that's already premade, but I want custom specs, hence the wait. I still have over 50% pad life left on the OEM pads so who knows when I'll get the Carbotechs.
