A friend of mine recently crashed his car. He has a set of brand new(never mounted) 275/35-18 tires he will let me have cheap. (I need Tires)
Everything I have seen on the net, however, says that a 275/35 tire needs at least a 9" wide rim.

I just need to know if anyone has tried this size on the stock rims and or if anyone knows what the down sides might be... (Providing they fit of coarse)

Honestly I wouldn't go much above the 255/40/18 stock size tire. 265/40s would probably be OK, but I'd stay away from 275s - too wide for an 8.5" wheel.
