brake pad question

so is weekend i changed the squeel clips on my brakes ( the ones that keep the pads apart) they were shot. now my brakes seem to slip when at low speeds coming to a stop i feel it in the pedal. Do you think i need new pads because there worn unevenly? What pads do you think i should use that wont dust up bad and make nosie ( its my daily driver). Iam running brembo rotors.

thanks

make sure u installed the rear clips back in place correctly.

the metal clip puts pressure on top of the brake pads, while the 2 pins keep them from sliding out of place and puts constant pressure on the clips.

check to see how much brake pad material u have left. worse case scenario is that the clips were bad, and cause the caliper to stay in the same place for the longest time which means possible seized caliper.

as for brake pads, i ran Hawk HPS on my old car, and im running hawk HPS on my GS. no complaints other than when its cold or wet, the brakes shutter at low speed.

Does any one have a DYI on how the rear pads should be changed.. All the ones on this site are for Gen. 1 GS

Changing the rear pads on a 2GS is super easy, takes 5min per side, just need to put the clips in correctly and I used a flat head screwdriver to push the piston back, pop in the new pads. no need to take the caliper off. super simple
