Default thrust angle, alignments and the like..

Ok, so skipping over the unimportant details..

I ended up having some damage to the rear right of my lexus.
This is what was repaired:
- replaced the upright (knuckle, whatever you wanna call it)
- replaced the CV axle
- replaced the wheel bearing
No multilink were damaged in the making of this mess. (according to the repair shop) <- guy specializes in toyota.

prior to the damage my wheel did NOT rub on my fender.
I got a replacement wheel after having all that stuff repaired and then went to get an alignment. I went to National Tire & Battery (probably where I went wrong)

Anyway, the side that was damaged needs to camber in more because its now rubbing on the fender. It did not do this before the accident and if everything was fixed, why would it not be able to align like it did before the accident? The guys at NTB (who obviously do not like their job) said that the factory camber adjustment was maxed out.

I don't like this because my car is NOT aligned properly. I still have about 5 degrees of tilt on my steering wheel driving in a straight line, and there is a thrust angle in the rear that pushes the car off line.

My thoughts are that either the NTB alignment dudes just didn't care enough or try hard enough to get the settings good, or that something behind my wheel is still a little not right.

I also installed a different steering wheel but I don't think I'm off on a tooth at all because the angle of the wheel isn't significant enough for that.

i couldn't get a print out of the alignment settings because the printer was not working at the time.

What do you guys think?

Do you know of a GOOD shop near the Dallas/Fort Worth area that might be able to straighten this out? I'm considering the Lexus dealership.. I know it'll cost me a million but I'm hoping they can get it back to factory settings? Except I'm lowered with big wheels..

Thanks in Advance.

You have a lot of issues to look at.
1. the parts could have been worn before and the new bushings are now putting it where it is supposed to be .
2. the upper control arm is damaged.
3. you need to replace some bushings.
4. replace the same parts on the left side also.
5. some of the links are damaged

Thats a good point. I didn't think it could be right and the other side is just sloppy. haha

I'm going to measure some of the links and control arms to see if they're at factory spec length.

Thanks, aye!

(sorry, Canada joke)

Anyone know where to find the measurements of the factory control arms to see if they are bent? I didn't see it in the FSM anywhere.

Measuring the arms will not help as it is either bent or the bushings are shot . lengths won't tell you much.
