Default Eibach vs. Intrax on First Gen. GS300

Hi all-

I was wondering how many of you guys have Intrax springs in your GS300 (if there are second gen. GS3/4 owners reading this who have used Intrax springs, please feel free to comment on your experience as well). I have Eibachs in my 1994 GS300 and the ride quality is excellent, but the car really needs to be lower to complete the look. I just put 19" HRE 448s on it last week and it looks great, but there's a bit too much gap for my taste.

So, Intrax owners, do they ride pretty well? What's your experience (good/bad)?

Thanks,

My friend had Intrax on his car and hated them. He ran into all sorts of suspension problems, so based on that I wouldn't recommend them.

BTW, are you going to post pics of your ride?

Default Eibachs on 1st Gen GS

Link13...have you had trouble with alignment?

My front tires wear on the inside like there is no tomorrow

I have the Eibachs after I was steered away from the Intrax by a couple of friends that used them on other cars. The ride is great and the rear has had no problems. The camber kit that Eibach makes is for the rear only and I can't find anyone that has a kit for the front. I've spent $400.00 in the last 6 months at the alignments shop and I'll probably have to buy two new Toyo T1S 245/35s in the next month or so (NOT CHEAP).

Default Hi all

Here's an attempt at the picture. I hope it works this time. Rico, I have not had any problems with alignment with the Eibachs and the car rides great. I want the same ride, but I want the car lower. I know I'm dreaming.

Default drifting

I don't do canyon runs or anything, but my AE86 is pretty easy to break loose, so I usually slide it around a bit when I have the chance. It's a fun car. Getting the GS300 that upset in the twists would be a handful.

I was also adviced to stay away from the Intrax springs. I was told the quality of the Eibachs was many times better than the Intrax. I'm happy with the way the Eibach rides but I have to agree that I wish it was lowered at least another .25" to .50". The gap is still too big, with my 17"s.

Hey Rico, do you have some pics of your ride? Your car looks cool (on your signature).

Hey Link, check yer PM...

I too have had InTRASH and they do blow chunks. They sag quickly and loose their "springiness"...plus their're noisy (probably because they were sagged)...

GET COILOVERS!!

The interior has been completely redone by Katzkin as of this weekend and the Veilside stripes are not in any of these pics.

Very nice ride, Rico! The Veilside kit fits nice and tight and the audio install is very clean.
