Yes you should do an alignment. Anytime you replace something like bushings, you need to have the car realigned.

Did you forget what the first post said , i filled almost everything in there from alignments to cause of harshness.

Does this apply to all 2GS or just 98-00?

Does this mean you need to buy a matching set of control arms (lower #1 and #2), or a matching arm and ball joint? Also are the 01 and up arms all the same on the second generation GS? Finally what year (s) arms will fit on a 98 GS400? Thanks.

it applies to all lexus RWD cars.
Specifically the 98-05 GS in this post.
There are 2 kits available from TM engineering for 98-00 and 01-05 cars as the earlier ones had caster smaller arms and and bushings . For exact details check tm's site. It can be updated with newer 430 arms and ball joints but then you are paying for a new bushing unless you find used arms to press in the new bushings instead.

The part labeled with 48068E (RH) and 48069A (LH) in that diagram is the caster arm.

Thanks for the quick response. As a follow up....are the 01-05 newer arms all the same and why do you need to update both the arm and the ball joint if putting the newer arms on a 98-00 car? Why can't you just update the arm only?
