I have an annoying noise coming from my car (sounds like front end) when I go over bumps. It's a metal on metal rattle sounds, or another way to describe it is metal washers klinging together. Does anyone know what this is. I just replaced upper and lower balljoints and tie rod ends, the noise was present since about 90k and asked the service tech......can't seem to figure it out. Now have 169k

brake clips...or caliper clips...idk use search button i read about it but cant reference exactly...parts for the fix are 18 and u can DIY, just cant remember the post. gluck

I had this problem and believe or not it was a little heat shield that cracked on the passenger side of the engine right up under the duct from the MAF sensor to the engine cover. Its a really thin piece of metal and wont be too hard to spot if your GS is 300 and your eyes are in the right area GL
