Default My whole car is shaking after 40 mph, ive tried everything..

So heres the story: i have 20s and have lowered H&R springs, and have had it for around 2 years. For the last year the steering wheel and the rest of the car has been shaking alot. Obviously, like everyone else, its at its worst at 60mph, but can still be felt alot at 90mph..

... last week i changed: the two front ball joints, two front outer tie rods, had two different wheel alignments, rotors, brand new balanced tires, and nothing has changed. Can someone give me some advice? i know it might be the rims or the steering needs to be adjusted. Is there anything else i could check or change? Its really frustrating because i feel like im driving an old pickup truck.. Thanks in advance

btw... my right front axle is missing a lug... i dont know if that has anything to do with it

missing lug, that will do it!!!!!! but check your wheels road forced balance to see if they are bent or out of round... read up on my thread.. this should help alot

definitely put on a matching lug nut.

Try putting back on the stock wheels and stock lugnuts for a day and see if the shake is gone. If it does, it would imagine its the wheel....Lexus has lug centric wheels. Your 20" wheels are most likely not.

Also try replacing your steering rack bushings and control arms bushings if all else fails. Good luck!

Update:: So i just replaced my stock rotors with some drilled/slotted ones from ebay... and also swapped the broken lug out with a new one...

still shakin... i guess that means the next step is the daizon steering rack bushings, and getting the wheels road force balanced....

btw... can people tell me where they got theres done? and how much was it???

I suggest you take your wheels to a tire place. As they are balancing them. Ask them to watch to see if the wheels are bent by looking at the wheel spinning. That's how I found my culprit. One of my front wheel was slightly bent, which cause vibration on the freeway. Hope that helps. Just speaking from experience.

Also if you have spacers, that could be another culprit too.,
