Default Need help with changing brake pads.

Alrighty so my car has the RMM bbk (SupraTT) and im having some trouble trying to get the caliper off..

i have my Brembo blanks + Endless pads on standby ready to be installed but i cant seem to remove the dam bolts that hold the caliper..... is there a trick to do it?

Yep... PB Blaster and leverage... did you try using a breaker bar?

dam i would have tried the breaker bar idea but im missing the large 17mm socket.. haha

i usually use the 17mm wrench + hammer way... but the TT brakes are wierd on the GS4's arm... especially since it needed to be shaved a bit to fit the TT caliper..

maybe someone with the same brakes can chime in??

ps. on the bright side... I just finished changing out my steering rack bushings with Daizen poly =p

shaved? and arm?

I have Supra turbo caliper+rotors and (I think) reused the OEM bolts but didn't have shave anything. Unless you're talking about the LS 4pot...those need to be shaved.

I'd go buy a 17mm. IIRC, I use it a lot working on the GS.

hmm its an RMM kit so is it safe to assume it is a TT kit??

A regular size wrench will definitely not get you enough leverage

Time to invest in a nice set of deep sockets
