Default Rear Suspension Removal

I've seen this thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...n-install.html

and fitted my front coilovers, moved onto the back and i've got everything loose, and i can't get the stupid OEM suspension out! I've still got the anti-roll bar screw in it got stucked and not managed to hammer it out.

Got the 3 screws out from the top aswell, but then the centre one stays put and it won't budge,i haven't loosened the piston rod lock nut,is this where i'm going wrong?

please help car needs to be sorted to move out of the garage!!

When I removed mine, I disconnected the sway bar. Still wasn't easy but you have to push down on the wheel end a bit to allow enough clearance to get the studs out of the holes at the upper mount.

thanks mate, yep i pushed down and couldn't get the damper to move anymore as it was hitting the back of the caliper and made contact with the lower arm bar,i'm going to try my best to hammer the screw out and that should sort it out,i hope

yeah i found you have to d/c the lower arm. its a ***** of a thing i have found! the bolt is hard as heck to get out. others havent had that many issues, i found it very hard first time, then easy while i was adjusting the heights on the day, but then i reassembled and drove then the next day wanted to undo it to adjust height again and it was just as hard as the first time getting it out!

i hate that bolt haha

While I hate to work on any suspension no matter what car it is, I find that a little PB blaster and a good 1/2" impact gun will literally take off almost 95% of all suspension parts. The only time I had to bust out the plasma cutter was when the exhaust bolt on my old IS was so rusted that it had seized to the flange.

^ yeah exhausts are the worst for that type of thing. i dont have any power tools though and pretty limited hand tools, so i guess i dont make it any easier on myself haha
